Newly Finished Machine

Well this one has been quite a long time in the works. We have been trying to get every minor detail on this machine to our liking. We spent quite a long time decided colors on many parts so they would all flow together and make a wonderful looking machine. I do say it came out looking great.

I custom made the background myself and had it printed on heavy duty vinyl. We refinished the wood frame with a white wash that was very similar to the factories. Because we wanted to achieve a very 70's machine we decided to change out the blue upper tray with a brown one and painted the loader window avocado green to match the playfield. The lower tray we repainted with a nice light blue to try to match the original. We repainted the spinners with a green center and orange rim because we wanted the center to match the playfield and the orange to be pulled out from the tulips. All the chrome and plastic parts were cleaned and polished. All in all this machine was stripped down to bare bones and rebuilt from the ground up with a few parts from other machines. And it came out wonderfully. Keep an eye out for this wonderful machine on pachinko planet .com.

Also a little info on the machine: It is a 1969-70 Nishijin, Model A Front Overflow (Tulip Tower)

Another clean one

This machine was dropped off by someone for some basic cleaning and maintenance. We ended up pulling off the whole back and cleaning it all. The machine itself was in pretty nice shape, best part is now it is fully functional. It can now get much enjoyment from many people.

Sokumara-Ankyo Finally finished

Well it has been a while since I posted and update on this machine. It has been finished for a while now and it is in the testing stage to make sure there are no problem during play. As it is a Franken-pachi so there could be a few issues unless we engineered everything correctly, which so far it looks like we have. We are going to play this one for a while and watch for problems but it will most likely end up for sale on Pachinko Planet at some point. So if you like it keep an eye for it there or send me an email by clicking the contact info button in the side menu.

Here are the pictures of the machine now that it is fully finished.

A Peek At Our Current Project

Well I will first off start by saying that the Heiwa we finished a few weeks ago is sold and it wasn't up for sale for long. (only 4 days)

Right now were are working on a 1969 Nishijin Front Overflow machine. This machine was in pretty good shape except for the fact that the background was water stained, faded, and down right ugly. But we easily fixed that problem by slapping on one of my own custom made backgrounds. We also restained the wood front so it looks very similar to what it did factory.

For now I'll post a few pictures.

Another One Off the Line

Well as you saw in the last post we were working on a 1978 Heiwa (Heiwa Date) machine. Well it is now finished. We went through and polished all the pins and cleaned everything front and back. We redid the lights for the center and replaced the light bulbs with LEDs. Now they shine much brighter and will not need to be serviced as often. We also went a simplified the switches and the rest of the wiring. We decided to leave the original background as it is in pretty good shape, it doesn't show much signs of water staining or fading.

In the next few days we will get the video of this machine done and it will be posted for sale on Pachinko Planet, so keep an eye out for it. But for now here are the final pictures.

(Note this machine is not for sale.) It is going into my personal collection as I love the way it came out and I made it to fit my style.

Long Lost Project

Well when I started this hobby I only had 4 machines. So I decided to go and tear into the Nishijin A (Green Bowling) to start restoring it. Then I found a huge lot of 60 machines. So my project kinda got put on hold for a long time. But just recently I decided to finish it. The main reason why I stopped working on it was because I needed to replace the background but didn't have one at the time. So I took the time and decided to go make a custom one to put on instead of a reproduction of a factory background. Finally a few weeks ago I got my custom one printed and decided it was time to finish this project. I still isn't finished but it is getting pretty darn close to being done.

About the background: The background I got inspired from a sign we had hanging on the wall I said Tiki Bowl on it. I combined 2 of my favorite things tiki gods and bowling, and I figured that the background would also fit with the theme of the machine very well. So I scanned in the sign and cleaned up the image and enlarged it to fit the machine board.

Here is a picture of the original sign:

Now here are the pictures of the machine:

Current

There is still much to do to this machine. Right now the feet for it are being stained and that is why it can't be put in its frame. The front ball panel will be covered with wallpaper because the chrome isn't shiny and looks like bare metal. The frame has been stained rosewood, sorta a dark red brown color. Anyways this machine is coming along great and I look forward to seeing it done.

(Just a note this one will not be going up for sale. I plan on hanging onto it for a while.)
